I am no fashion critic or fashion blogger, but since it’s on the radar, I thought I’d give my quick opinion on the Hollywood’s night of nights. Without taking into consideration what critics have said (purposely have not checked the best and worst dressed), I have picked my five favourite looks based on first hand reaction. I apologise in advance, if I have got it oh so terribly wrong! 😉
No trend has played a part, no designer or even the actor or actress themselves. I picked these simply because I like the overall look and well, if I got invited to a red carpet event I would quite possibly wear these looks myself!
I love, love, love this metallic custom Giorgio Armani dress. Fits her perfectly with just enough skin exposed. The shoulder detailing just adds another dimension to the dress – risky, but it worked in her favour.
Lace + backless + classic updo = perfection. The baby blue gives a youthful injection into a classic look. I love how Alicia has added a cute belt and pushed up her sleeves too – not looking too serious.
Hot pink is always going to attract attention right? It certainly caught my eye and I love how Maria didn’t over accessorise this Romona Keveza gown. Not a huge fan of the scraped-back hair.. I personally would of had a classic upstyle. But 10/10 for the wow factor with the dress. Love the colour.
The red hair and this subtle copper Armani Prive gown makes a winning combination. Very old school Hollywood glam. I’m getting a softer version of Jessica Rabbit – in a good way.
Black and low plunge makes Samantha look stunning. Made up of classic lines and a simple design, yet this look for me was a stand out. It’s a truth that you really can never get it wrong with black. I also love the pockets – super cute.
I will admit, it was really hard to narrow my favourite looks to five. And although there’s always a few that get it wrong, generally everyone looks beautiful in their own right. I’m sure that many people out there will disagree with me, but hey! It’s all about opinion. Why don’t you live a little and share yours?
