HoneyTusk, a must for eyebrows!

I was never aware of just how much of an impact perfectly shaped and styled eyebrows can have on ones face. It can make such an impact on your appearance!

Over the weekend I had the pleasure of meeting Marli from HoneyTusk Eyebrow Studio in the beautiful suburb of Balmain and was treated to her ‘Eyebrow Sensation’ ($35) and an eyelash tint ($22). It was an amazing experience, especially because I’ve had some serious eyebrow scares in the past!

Marli is incredibly knowledgable, with over 9 years of industry experience, she knew exactly what she was doing and made sure I felt comfortable, relaxed and at ease throughout the whole treatment. Her studio was gorgeous, with candles burning and beautiful wooden features, it gave off a such a warm and relaxing vibe.

The treatment started with my hands being soaked and Marli examining my brows (which were messy, uneven and hadn’t been fixed for a while – my bad!). I explained that I love my brows being thick, and that I had in the past have people practically remove them (still scares me to this day). She was very reassuring and outlined what changes to my brows would be best for my face shape and hair colouring. In the end I didn’t require too much work, just a tidy up. If you’re frightened about pain from waxing and tweezing, don’t be! I amsuch a baby when it comes to pain, but Marli was fantastic! I didn’t feel a thing! We had a chat and by the time we’d finished, it was all over red rover. She even applied some eye makeup!

At this point, Marli explained the benefits of an eyelash tint and how they would brighten up my eyes, making my lashes appear longer. The smaller hairs that you don’t normally see get picked up, giving the impression of thicker lashes! Thinking it was going to be quite complicated, the eyelash tinting was quick, hassle free and very relaxing! Marli applied the tint, whilst my eyes were closed and left it for 10 mins. Whilst this was happening, I was given a wonderful hand massage, which was incredibly relaxing and I didn’t want it to ever finish!

The overall result was my eyebrows looking fabulous, my eyelashes looking luscious and feeling relaxed from head to toe!

Along side eyebrow shaping, Marli is trained in eyelash extensions, waxing, spray tanning and hand/feet treatments. She is so friendly, very reassuring and professional in manner. I thoroughly recommend seeing her if you want your eyebrows to be transformed! I’ll definitely be back to try out some of her other services.

Be beautiful, be fabulous and always live a little!

On a side note and to get you going brow crazy, Marli sent me through her top tips for amazing brows:

Tip 1.
The quest for perfectly symmetrical brows will be forever challenging one. Our brows will never be identical, so don’t attempt to get them exactly the same otherwise you will end up over plucking them. They say that our brows are sisters not twins.

Tip 2.
When tweezing your own brows always try and sit in front of a large mirror with natural sunlight.
This will allow you to pick up the light hairs that are often hard to see

Tip 3.
Be careful when following eyebrow trends. Eyebrow styles are the same as hair fashions and not every style suits each person. Following the natural brow shape will give you the best look for YOU!
