Some Beauty Stocking Fillers..

December 23, 2016

Woohoo! Christmas is almost upon us – we’ve got just 2 days to go!  I hope you’re as excited as I am! I love Christmas and always have. There is something wonderful about getting together with your nearest and dearest, enjoying that precious time together and sharing laughs, drinks and of course gifts. Despite the mayhem around shopping at Christmas, I actually quite enjoy it!

Being a little obsessed with beauty, I figured I’d put together my last-minute, beauty gift guide for you. I am loving these products at the moment and they’re all a fabulous option for cheaper gifts, stocking fillers or little add-ons.

Fake Bake 60 Minutes Tan
I was sceptical when I saw ’60 minutes’. I know that there are plenty of tanning products on the market claiming to give you the ultimate glow without having to sleep in the product. In the past I’ve found that you really need to keep them on for at least 3 hours to get any sort of effect. But I can honestly tell you, 60 minutes is all you need and you will end up a lovely colour. It comes with a mitt for application, which I strongly suggest you use to avoid those stained hands. Being a spritz bottle (something I am not used to), I took my time with the application. But once I got the hang of it, it was really easy to apply. The only thing that I did notice was a strange grey tinge on my skin when it was developing, so I wouldn’t recommend going out with it on. However after an hour and a quick rinse I was left with, as promised, a gorgeous golden tan.

Eco Tan’s Invisible Tan
What I love about Eco Tan, is their ethos and ethical standpoint. And this product is just lovely to apply – it’s sooo moisturising! Whilst you can’t wash it off in 60 minutes a la Fake Bake, you can pop it on and carry on with your day. My only concern is that there is no colour guide, so you need to make sure that you’re super vigilant when applying. I did have the occasional streak. Since I am so fair, it would be nice to see a formula specifically for fairer skin.

Palmer’s Dark Chocolate & Peppermint Lip Butter
I can promise you that if this little gem turned up in any girls stocking, they would be eternally grateful. A firm favourite of mine from my high-school days, this lip butter has never ever failed me.. it;’s just so delicious! This lip product is wonderful, it smells like chocolate chip ice-cream and gives your lips just the slightest hint of glossiness. Nothing too sticky or tacky.

The Body Shop – Shea Body Butter
I am obsessed with having hydrated skin, especially when using fake tan. This body butter is creamy, dreamy and melts beautifully into the skin. I am not a huge fan of synthetic smells and products that have a strong scent, so this body butter leaves you with just a little hint of fragrance, but nothing too overpowering. The perfect summer holiday body butter.. delish!

The Body Shop – Japanese Cherry Blossom Eau de Toilette
A gorgeous, floral fragrance to make anyone go Konichiwa! This beautiful perfume is sweet, fresh and feminine without being sugary or nannyish. It’s the perfect combination of magnolia and cherry blossom with the tiniest hint of hinoki wood. Being quite a light fragrance, it’s perfect for daytime wear and I love it! Also the bottle is just as pretty as the scent!

There’s still plenty, well.. plentyish time to get your shopping done. Hopefully one of these beauty ideas might be the perfect option for some last minute gifts. I would be a very happy bunny if my stocking was filled these beautiful products.

Kick back, relax and have a glorious Christmas! X
